Cryopreservation

Cryopreservation provides the scientific research community with a method for the viable long term storage of biological materials. To minimise the effects of long term sample deterioration, most biological samples require storage below the glass transition phase of water. It is at this point at approximately -132°C that all water available within the sample is frozen and all biological metabolic activity ceases. By using a liquid nitrogen source either in liquid or vapour phase, samples can be stored with an cryogenic environment of temperatures of approximately -190°C ensuring that they are protected against long term degeneration.

At In Vitro Technologies, we understand that your samples and cell lines are the cornerstone of your research laboratory.  Weather you are freezing small quantities of product within a -80°C freezer or establishing a liquid nitrogen facility or bio bank within a large institute, In Vitro Technologies has the expertise and facilities to help.  Along with Taylor-Wharton cryogenic tanks, In Vitro Technologies are now also able to provide a whole package solution for storage with Micronic tubes for biobanking, IBIDI freezing media and classic Corning cryogenic vials. Through the support of our world class cryopreservation portfolio, In Vitro are able to provide the best solution for your cryostorge needs.
